Equine Organizations and Similar Foundations

Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation, Inc.– The national partner of SC TRF, the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation was founded two decades ago to save Thoroughbred horses no longer able to compete on the racetrack from possible neglect, abuse and slaughter.
South Carolina Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association
– A statewide organization advocating positive aspects of the Thoroughbred business – breeding, training and racing while also providing leadership and solutions to the challenges presented by the thoroughbred business.
The Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association – The national trade organization for Thoroughbred owners and breeders. Based in Lexington, Kentucky.
South Carolina Equine Ministries - A Christian organization connecting those who share an interest in horses and wish to be involved in a ministry utilizing horses.
South Carolina Horseman’s Council - The voice of the South Carolina Equine Industry.
South Carolina Awareness and Rescue for Equines - Provides public awareness and education concerning the welfare of equines, and to work with county Humane Society Chapters Animal Control Offices and Law Enforcement Offices in South Carolina to guarantee the welfare and safety of all equines in the state.
